I thought it might be nice to have a thread so that we can introduce ourselves and give a bit of background on why we are interested in this World of Homestuck business. Just say a bit about yourself!

Hey everyone! My name is KATIE. I'm an aspiring PHD STUDENT in CHEMICAL ENGINEERING. I live in the USA in the MIDWEST and always have. I have a variety of INTERESTS. I am eagerly awaiting the DLC ending of MASS EFFECT and think about it constantly. I have a passion for BBC SHERLOCK and read a massive amount of terrible FAN FICTION about it. I have a fondness for BLIZZARD and BIOWARE and play most of the games they release. I am a recent fan of HOMESTUCK and have rapidly become obsessed with what will happen next while simultaneously dreading when it comes to an end.

Okay, enough of that silliness!

I only recently got into Homestuck after wondering where all the cool zodiac sign related fan art was coming from on my tumblr dash, but I was hooked immediately and read all the way to Act 6 in just a couple days. My favorite trolls are Equius, Gamzee, and Nepeta and my favorite kids are Dave and Dirk.

On the other hand, I've been playing WoW since late 2005 in my first semester of undergrad. I'm a really good tank, a moderately good DPS, and a pretty bad healer. My main is a protection paladin, but I also quite like warlocks. I only have a couple 85s (a paladin, a shaman, a warlock, and a DK) because finishing my Master's was pretty serious business, but now that I'm done with chemical engineering classes forever I'll have a bit more time on my hands.

Unfortunately, none of my stupid grad school friends play WoW or read Homestuck, usually favoring things like drinking and complaining about grad school. I'm kind of an island here! The only people that I know who play WoW are my parents (HURRR) and a couple friends from undergrad, but none of them read Homestuck. Sorry, I won't be providing any new members...

Anyway, yeah, I'm also kind of a babbler! Can you tell? :3

My name is DAN and I work in SALES. I live in WESTERN AUSTRALIA. My main INTERESTS are dicking around with TECHNOLOGY and trying to tinker with any kind of gadgets I can get my hands on.


^{As of tonight, this is my current desktop rig. I decided it would be a good idea to hook my 40" LCD up to my computer, and the smaller screen on the left still isn't anything to sneeze at, it's 22" but just looks dwarfed by the TV}

I got in to Homestuck last year through a few friends on Tumblr, and most of the people I talk to online are all fans of it as well. I still haven't caught up to the latest updates yet though

My favourite trolls are Vriska and Nepeta, and my favourite kids are Jade and Dave.

I have been playing WoW on and off for the last two years, but I have never managed to see a character all the way to 85, due to friends losing interest and other things happening that have distracted me. My highest level character right now is a level 69 Blood Elf Mage.

I also don't know a large amount of people who play WoW, and the ones that do don't read Homestuck, or visa versa.

Ok. Enough with the silly introduction. I've been into Homestuck since about October of 2010 - some friends of mine on a now-dead RP forum were raving about it, and I decided to check it out. I read the whole thing in a matter of days (a slightly less impressive achievement back then) and loved it instantly. My favorite character is (pretty obviously) Jade, though I'm extremely fond of all of the Beta kids. I don't really care much about the trolls save for Aradia, Kanaya, Vriska, and Karkat sometimes when the mood strikes me. I also ship. A lot. Especially DaveJade (hence my URL, spacetime-continuum) and Solradia.

As for World of Warcraft, that I got into sometime back in 2009 - just before Wrath of the Lich King dropped. I really wish I'd gotten into it sooner, but oh well. I have two 85s, a hunter and a druid, and two other close-to-85s - another hunter-druid pair. You could say that I like the classes a little too much. My main is my druid, Leyati, who is Balance MS, Guardian OS. I have a few friends who play WoW, and a lot of friends who read Homestuck, but unfortunately those two groups are completely separate, so I won't be able to bring in new people except for those that I might be able to seek out on Tumblr.

i was dragged kicking and screaming into homestuck by two of my friends, and some fifteen pages in i realized that hey, this is actually really great. i'm pretty much a textbook aries, minus the whole ghost-frog-robot-physical god thing. my favorite trolls are probably vriska and equius, and my favorite kids are all of them but especially jade, roxy & rose.
aside from hs and wow, i'm into the whedonverse (mostly buffy, firefly, and avengers), discworld & good omens, tf2 & portal, les miserables, bbc sherlock, and arbitrarily clumping my interests into groups based on author.
i played wow a lot back in the vanilla-going-on-bc times, but i'm just now crawling back from a rather long hiatus.

okay i'm pretty awful at the whole introduction thing but let me give this a shot:

so once upon a time i was one of those people who was really tired of seeing Homestuck everywhere and didn't really get why it was so popular. one day i up and decided to give it a read and suddenly i understood everything. this was only a few months ago so i'm still relatively new to the Homestuck fandom. my favorite trolls are Gamzee, Karkat, and Terezi and my favorite kids are the Striders! but really, i love all of the characters.

i've been playing WoW for a little over 2 years now. though lately i haven't been doing much on WoW besides raiding with my guild. i main a Holy Priest and my main alt is an Enhancement Shaman (i also have a Resto Druid, Holy Paladin, and Fire Mage at 85.)
